Windsor
Summary (for full review click link below)
Situated on the bank of the River Thames, Windsor is a perfectly flat figure of eight course.
The unusual configuration of the track means that horses who have run well here previously should be followed. 5 and 6 furlong races are effectively run on a straight course.
Windsor races most Monday evenings during the summer and these prove to be very popular, these are shown in red.
Draw Advantage: for 5-6f races high numbers have an advantage when the ground is fast but low numbers hold the advantage when the going is soft.
Admission:
Windsor has three enclosures, Members (£22), Tattersalls (£16) and Course (£8)
Location:
Located outside of the town, take the A308 Maidenhead Road from the town. The course is a few miles from J6 of the M4.
Ease of public transport access: Good (Rail to Windsor - three stations - then either taxi or boat transfer)
Suitability for the first time racegoer: good
