20:55 That's it from a drizzly Windsor where the jazz has begun. Not sure where the next coverage will be from - it will be on Wednesday from either Worcester or Leicester. From Windsor a very good evening. 20:50 Regal Salute came home the impressive four length winner of the final contest, having been with the pace throughout the contest before pulling clear approaching two out. Another victory for favourite backers. Pegasus Again sprouted wings to go in vain pursuit and had to settle for second spot, with Miss Bootylishes a further 3 1/4 lengths back in third. Alshazah came home fourth. 20:36 We conclude with the Penguin Classic Handicap over the extended mile with 11 going to post. Cool Hand Jake reared in the parade ring, Crazy Chris was a head shaker and pulling hard. Bidable was pulling slightly, as was Royal reverie. Alshazah was relaxed but the each way paddock pick is Mick's Dancer. 20:22 Frankie Dettori comes here for one run and he wins - just. Virtually making all Word Power looked to be a serious danger approaching the furlong marker but the favourites effort was short lived and she had to settle for third spot. The danger came from Billy Buttons, who vied for the lead in the early stages before looking to have run his race two out before rallying late. And did he rally, briefly heading Dettori on Anatolian but Dettori was not in any mood to be beaten and he battled back to record a head victory. The pair were well clear of the third placed favourite. There was fun and games at the start when Palitana unshipped Saleem Golan a couple of times and was then withdrawn, resulting in a 5p rule 4 deduction. 20:04 Back to 1m 2f for the penultimate race The Ronnie Scott's Maiden Stakes with 14 off to post. Word Power was on her toes, as were Billy Buttons, Tawseef and The Calling Curlew. Anatolian and Ashiri both caught the eye. 19:50 A result for the punters as the joint-favourite Sirius Prospect comes home the comfortable winner, having taken up the running two out. Roman Dancer led early on before dropping out of contention. Sluggsy Morant came with a late rattle to get within a length of the winner, with Palais Glide back in third. The other joint favourite Midnight Feast ran disappointingly only finishing sixth. 19:31 Another six furlong contest with ten going to post for the sportingbet.com Handicap. For seasoned handicappers they were not that impressive in the parade ring. Midnight Feast was pulling, Golden Tempest was very much on her toes. Sluggsy Morant was a puller and Roman Dancer was on his toes. Sirius Prospect was relaxed in the parade ring but was early to post. Paddock pick is Crew Cut. 19:22 That was an impressive, all the way, win for The Queen's Free Verse. Setting the pace she looked to be about to swallowed up by the challengers two out. However instead of folding Richard Hughes gave a shake of the reins and she pulled clear to record a one and a half length victory. There was a good battle for second with Elusive Flame getting up to beat Salford Art by a nose, with Lovage, who was sent off favourite, an eye catching fourth who will come on for her debut run. 19:03 Time for the babies as 15 two-year-olds go to post for the six furlong British Stallions Studs EBF sportingbet.com Maiden Fillies' Stakes. I will probably get in trouble for telling you Superinjunction was being a real madam in the parade ring. Guava was pulling very hard - I had to take evasive action. Heartstrong was headstrong. Remix and Auntie Kathryn were both edgy. Free Verse looked teh pick of the Hannon runners and the other two debutants catching the eye were Diamond Belle and Semayyel, with a mention for Lovage. A very trappy contest. 18:50 A cracking finish for our second contest with judge Felix Wheeler needing the camera to sort out minor placings. One Hit Wonder came home the half length winner, having been settled just behind the pace which was set by Sasheen, who led until approaching two out. Time for the charge and Green Wadi was the first to go for home without opening up a big lead. Oriental Girl and the eventual winner were on the scene, with One Hit Winner running on at the right time. Running on best of all was One Hit Wonder's fellow joint favourite Kishanda who grabbed second spot from Green Wadi, with Oriental Girl back in fourth. 18:32Race two is National Brain Appeal And ASOS Handicap with 13 going to post for the 1m 2f contest. Several paddock negatives. Kishanda was fly kicking and pulling hard, Byrd In Hand was pulling hard, Gud Day was shaking his head like a heavy metal fan. Fidler Bay and Inquisitress were both slightly on their toes. Best looking was Green Wadi. 18:20 Well a good start to the evening as our first paddock paddock pick of the evening obliges. Eagle Nebula getting up on the line to head Urban Ancora who tried to make all. Early doors the front runner was joined by What About Now but as the runners lined up for home, chosing to take the far side, Urban Ancora pulled clear with what looked like a decisive run. Kieren Fox bought Eagle Nebula out of the pack to launch a challenge which looked to be too late but Fox worked away, leading in the final strides to record a neck victory. Tiger Tess, reluctant to the start and rearing out of the stalls, ran on late to take third spot. 18:00 Just beginning to rain again here at Windsor - just light at the moment. The opening contest is the Chris Dagley Memorial Classified Selling Stakes over the extended 1m 3f, with eight to face the starter. A trappy contest on paper and few clues from the parade ring. Lytham was slightly on his toes and Tiger Tess was pulling slightly. The two paddock picks were Eagle Nebula and Dew Reward, with slight preference for the former. 17:42 We are getting a good demonstration of Gallic angst here - the French commentator cannot get his ISDN line to work. 17:38 The food report comes without a photograph as it was only a cheese burger, albeit with with a huge pile of raw onions. 17:13 We have a going change - it is now Good 17:00 Good afternoon from Windsor where it is very overcast with some nasty grey clouds. There have been a couple of sharp showers this afternoon. There has been no official change to the going - yet. It is Ronnie Scott night here at Windsor with a jazz concert after racing. We now have four non-runners. 12:57 There are now three non-runners. 10:31 The official going is Good to Firm (8.2 on the going stick) Parts of the course have been "selectively watered" to maintain Good to Firm going. Stands rail dolled out 12yds at 6f and 6yds at Winning Post. Top bend dolled out 3yds from normal configuration adding 17yds to race distances 1m +. There is currently one non-runner.
