21:50 That’s it from a very foggy Kempton – good night.
21: 49 A very interesting betting heat in our finale – with Giant Sequoia backed from 4/6 out to 4/9 – yet on the exchanges it was a major drifter with 6/5 being available just before the off.
The exchanges were right with the favourite only managing to come home a hard ridden third.
The contest was won by Silent Act who had been second throughout, the pace, a ridiculous one, having been set by Inch lodge.
Little Sark ran on well to take third spot.
21:35 They are going down for the final contest the Epsom Owners and Trainers Awards Dinner Handicap over a mile and a half.
21:28 To say Dubai Meydan is an awkward so and so would be an understatement – he, literally, had to be dragged to the start. However despite the mental attitude the horse undoubtedly has some ability.
He demonstrated this when taking the delayed race, coming home the 1¼ length winner, having been settled mid-div before progressing down the home straight.
Kings Colour was another doing best in the end, to finish second.
Millfield, who completely and utterly fluffed the start and putting in a blistering run to come home third you have to ask if the result would have been different had he not fluffed his escape from the stalls.
The favourite Ursula was never in contention.
21:11 Dubai Meydan has planted on the way to the start.
21:08 Racing goes ahead again - the runners will be going down shortly.
21:04 The mist is lifting
20:55 The runners are coming back to the parade ring - the reason for the delay is the veterinary and medical cars cannot see the horses racing.
20:52 Racing is delayed due to the mist.
20:41 Seven face the starter for what is meant to be our penultimate race of the evening – the seven furlong Kia Soul Safe Bet Handicap.
Seasoned runner all they are all quite relaxed in the parade ring and there are no positives or negatives.
20:33 The mist is getting worse now - two races left - what odds them being run?
20:31 Another race where most of the contest was run in the murk – Art Market was leading when they disappeared from view five furlongs from home.
He was still leading when they finally emerged from the gloom approaching the two furlong marker – however they were queuing to take him on.
First to go for home was Party In The Park with High Spec but Marc Halford was moving Inquisitress to the far side and with a clear run the mare soon accelerated well to take the lead and come home a length clear.
20:14 An open betting heat with some money coming in for Art Market 7/1 into 11/2.
20:13 Division two of the handicap next and the mist has thinned slightly. Monashee Rock and Ryker were both getting a little warm in the parade ring.
20:03 I never though I would ever say this but I actually feel sorry for Jonathan Neesom – he is doing the comments in running for Raceform and the Racing Post and the language as it is trying to analyse the race from the murky television pictures is not for family listening.
Also full marks to Alan Howes who is doing the commentary tonight - mist and floodlights do not mix.
Eddie Ahern has picked up a four day ban plus a further four days of a deferred ban for careless riding aboard Chips O'Toole in teh 19:20 contest.
19:59 Well I’m afraid there is no way you are getting any decent analysis on this race as it was run in a rather heavy mist.
Fine Ruler took the contest and all that can be said with confidence is he was about sixth on the far rail two out, before running on.
The runner-up, King Of Legend, also seemed to come from nowhere in the final two.
That is all that can be said with any confidence.
19:45 Twelve face the starter for Division One the one mile Digibet.com Casino Handicap.
No real positives in the ring, a slight negative for Fine Ruler who was attempting to detach his handlers arms from their sockets.
19:34 An interesting betting heat in which Gouray Girl opened the betting as favourite but ended up going off joint favourite with the well backed Fleeting Echo.
However the pair of them had to settle for minor honours as the 10/1shot Freeforaday ended up taking the spoils.
As has happened in every race so far this evening it was the late running on runners who contested the finish. Marine Spirit, after a tardy start, and Chips O’Toole set the early pace but were out with the washing come the finish.
Two out Fleeting Echo had the advantage but Gouray Girl was soon challenging and looking the likely winner, however on her outside Freefortheday was making very good progress under Robert Winston.
The pair were soon clear with Gouray Girl leading until the final half furlong when the momentum of his run took Freeforaday into the front to record a length victory.
Fleeting Echo just held on for third spot, holding off a late challenge from Farmers Wish.
19:21 Kings Of Leo very reluctant into the stalls
19:19 Fleeting Echo is attracting support 11/2 into 3/1
19:13 Another six furlong contest for our fourth race, the Digibet.com Nursery Handicap.
Godolphin have a runner in this contest in the shape of Marine Spirit, although it is hard to give a paddock view as most of the runners had blankets on.
19:01 One word to describe the victory of Wake Up Call – facile!!
The fact she came home five lengths clear of her rivals says it all. Hitting the front two out rider Jack Mitchell was looking over his shoulder for non-existent dangers as he eased his mount in the final half furlong.
Sandy par and Looby Loo battled out the early pace but, as is usual here, it was the late runners who took the places. Nativity was running on well in the closing stages and was an eye catcher in second, two lengths ahead of Abbashinko, who was around third spot for most of the contest.
18:45 Eight face the starter in race three, the Digibet Median Auction Maiden Stakes over six furlongs.
A three-year-old contest a couple of them, Clever Omneya and Looby Loo, look more like two-year-olds.
18:36 Clearly those who backed the favourite Donna Elvira had not seen her in the parade ring before the race and, frankly, she was never a threat during the race.
Phillipa Jane set the pace along with Anaya, a second prominent ride from Dettori tonight. The wonderfully names Ermyntrude tracked the front pair before dropping back as they spun for home.
It was all change as they entered the home straight with Anaya the first to set off for home, pursued by China Bay, who quickly dropped out.
Perfect Vision had a perfect run in the centre of the course making good progress, as did Ermyntrude who having the far rail also ran on.
A furlong out Perfect Vision hit the front, Phillipa Jane dropped out and Anya stayed on well, whilst Inner Angle came with a late run.
18:19 The Kempton.co.uk Maiden Auction Fillies Stakes over a mile is our next contest. One non-runner and two jockey changes.
Frankie Dettori now rides Anaya and puts up 2lb overweight and Marc Halford rides Sisters Warning and puts up 3lb overweight, wiping out his claim.
Perfect Vision was getting warm in the parade ring and Donna Elvira was a little bit on her toes.
18:01 Well I hope the money that went on Clerical was each-way money as he only managed second spot a good 2¾ lengths behind the impressive leader, and favourite, Ede’s Dot Com.
The pace was shared by My Flame and One Scoop Or Two, with the favourite tracking the front pair.
As they passed the intersection on the home straight Keith Fox kicked the favourite to the front and it was race over as he pulled well clear.
The well backed Clerical was the only one to make a serious attempt to challenge. My Rio also made some late progress, but even more impressive was Top Flight Splash who ran on to take third spot.
A dire race but the favourite did what was necessary.
17:50 Clerical is in to 8/1 from 11 to one - but bear in mind it is a weak market.
17:46 Twelve face the starter in the opening Groomed To Perfection, The Kia Soul Classified Stakes over 7f.
Not the most inspirational race ever but it is interesting to see Frankie Dettori is here to ride My Flame.
17:31 Good evening from Kempton where, above the floodlights, teh sky is clear but there is a bit of mist rolling in.
13:14 An additional non-runner
11:53 Four non-runners so far, details on the right.
07:31 A dry night and no surprise at all to say the going is Standard
