17:26 That’s it from Huntingdon where a small crowd for a Sunday afternoon had some reasonable racing.
We will be at Stratford tomorrow, until then good afternoon.
17:22 A bumper to finish proceedings and another favourite coming home.
Ryde Back was settled in second place for most of the race, following the leader Spirit Dance.
As they turned for home it looked as though an upset may be on the cards as Leanonleo and Kaycee both ran on well to take up the running.
Kaycee had a lead a furlong out and although Andrew Tinkler had Ryde Back on his quarters but it looked as though the favourite was not too keen to get hid head in front.
Under pressure from Andrew Tinkler he manahed to get the favourite in front and once in the lead he strode on well to win by 1½ lengths from Spirit Dance with Leanonleo a further 5 lengths back in third.
16:40 Our second chase of the afternoon was a 3m handicap, which had three non-runners and only six going to post.
All six finished, although the early front runner Dunroby Millar was well tailed off.
Ollie Greenall on the favourite, Potts Of Magic, was happy to sit mid-division for most of the contest before challenging for, and taking, the lead as they entered the home straight.
Bermuda Pointe, who had settled near the rear and put in some sketchy jumping, ran on into second place. He looked to be a lively challenger before hanging badly left. Whether he would have made up the seven length deficit with the winner had he run true is debateable however.
Bermuda Pointe looks to be a candidate for blinkers next time out.
Baren De Doc, who tracked the leaders came home third.
Nous Voila shared the front running with Dunbrody Millar but was another to fade in the latter stages.
16:24 Yet another hurdle, this time over 2m 4f, and the feature race of the afternoon.
As is his wont Hills Of Aran set off in front, having an eight length lead going out on the final circuit.
Behind the leader Callisto Moon and Oscardeal were battling for second, with Night Cru tracking that pair.
Hernando Royal was settled in the rear, along with the favourite Hibiki.
Oscardeal pulled up on the far side of the course, as Night Cru made progress to track the leader.
Turning for home Hills Of Aran had the lead with Night Cru on his quarters and the remainder of the field bunched behind.
On the turn Hernando Royal began to make eye catching progress around the outside of his rivals.
Soon in the lead, his main rivals Hills Of Aran and Night Cru both came under pressure.
Once in front the winner never looked threatened and Hernando Royal came home the 3 length winner under claimer Reece Flint. Hills Of Aran held on for second and the irresolute looking Night cru was third.
The favourite Hibiki was never in the race and only beat one home.
15:52 At least a decent size field for our fourth race, another 2m hurdle.
The race saw a win for that durable character Orpen Wide, having his 19th run of the season.
Gleann An Sagart set the pace but Orpen Wide was on his quarters throughout, taking the lead as they turned for home.
The runners all looked tired in the home straight but Orpen Wide was looking good in front, pulling away from Gleann An Sagart.
The favourite L’Homme De Nuit had every chance but was unable to make any impression in the final stages and it was left to Sam lord to run on to take the runners-up spot.
15:20 A nightmare to write a report on the third contest, with three non-runners the contest became a match or, according to the betting, a mis-match.
Rustarix was sent off the 1/12 favourite and came home by 11 lengths. Kinkeel kept him company for most of the race but in the final stages Robert Thornton gave Rustarix his head and ran on to win as he pleased.
Not much else to say, except the winner was available at 4/5 in running.
14:45 The second Division of the maiden hurdle saw a double for jockey Richard Johnson as Hot Diamond took the contest easily.
The Big Fella once again showed he seems to be incapable of jumping and was pulled up half way.
This left Richard The Third in front a position he held until they turned for home.
By contrast Hot Diamond was settled stone last until the field began the turn for home, where he passes his rivals as if they were standing still.
As they approached the second last the scenario was similar to the opener with the top two in the betting vying for the lead, although this time they were separated by the width of the course.
The one difference this time is Hot Diamond never looked to be in any danger, coming home 3½ lengths clear of Mount Helcion, who seemed to prefer the better ground.
Another eye catching third, this time Amwell Brave, who was doing the best work in the closing stages.
14:23 A 2m maiden hurdle to get us underway and a thrilling finish to the contest.
The very early pace was set by Trachonitis but after the second the hard pulling favourite Rockiteer took it up and had a good six to seven length lead as they entered the back straight for the final time.
Traconitis and Long Distance were tracking the leader with the remainder of the field well bunched behind, with newcomer Victory Surge, under AP McCoy sitting at the rear.
As they entered the home turn Long Distance had joined Rockiteer up front and they jumped the second last together.
Long Distance may just have had his head in front coming to the last but Long Distance jinked to the left, coming together with Rockiteer, as they jumped the last.
They were locked together in the run-in but the favourite had just that little bit extra in the tank to claim a ¾ length victory.
This was only Long Distance's second race and he is bound to come on and win a small race.
Third placed Victory Surge is another interesting prospect, doing his best work in the final stages, albeit twelve lengths behind the front pair.
