Newbury is a top class track situated close to the town centre. It hosts top class flat and jumping action throughout the year with some major races held under both codes.

Course Characteristics:
It is a flat track just under two miles in circumference. There is an extension to the home straight to allow races up to one mile to be run on the straight course. The main course is left handed (anti-clockwise).
Long striding, galloping horses are suited by the course
Draw bias: There is no discernable draw bias.
Admission:
There are three enclosures at Newbury. Premier (£22 - £40), Grandstand (£15 - £22) and Picnic (£7)
Annual membership: £290 annual, £550 dual annual, £210 flat only, £140 jump only single, £265 jump only dual and £90 (age 18-25)
Location:
Located to the south east of the town centre access can be fraught at times, although the proposed redevelopment will help alleviate these issues. Approach via the A34 (from J13 of the M4) or the A4 and follow the signs as you approach Newbury.
Ease of public transport access: Excellent (There is a station adjacent to the course)

Suitability for the first time racegoer: very good (poor at the Hennessey meeting)
