Undoubtedly the most unusual and unique course in the UK and Ireland. Racing take place on the beach at low tide, with all races run on a straight course over six and seven furlongs. The date of the single meeting changes from year to year, depending on the tides.
Admission:
Admission is €15, OAP's and students €9. Under 14's admitted free.
Location:
Laytown is 46km north of Dublin, close to the main N1 Dublin - Belfast road.
There are regular train services from Dublin and Drogheda to Laytown station. A special bus service operates from Drogheda on race days.
