Fontwell
Summary (for full review click link below)
Located between Chichester and Arundel, Fontwell Park is one of our idiosyncratic tracks. The course stages only jump racing.
Fontwell hosts racing every month except July.

Course Characteristics:
The hurdle track is a simple left handed (anti-clockwise) oval of just over a mile in length. The chase course, however forms a figure of eight inside the hurdle circuit.
Because of its strange layout chase races tend to go to course specialists. Some spectacular “up close” viewing can be achieved in the centre of the course.
Fontwell is not a good course for big long striding horses and the configuration can find out inexperienced runners.
Admission (2010 prices):
Fontwell will operate a single enclosure policy for the first half of 2010 – with prices of £15 for standard meetings and £20 for feature meetings. Concessions are available for seniors, students and advance bookings.
Once the new stand is opened (August 19th) the course will revert to a two enclosure policy, prices to be confirmed.
Annual membership: £120 (January - June 2010)
Location:
Adjacent to the junction of the A29 and A27 Fontwell is easily accessible by road from London, Brighton, Chichester, Portsmouth and Southampton.
Ease of public transport access: Moderate (rail to Barnham then bus transfer)
