Monday 15th June

Tryst, who has been heavily supported in the ante-post market for the Royal Hunt Cup, will miss the contest after missing the cut.

A maximum field of 33 has been declared for Wednesday’s mile contest.

 

Saturday 13th June

Richard Hannon has warned punters that Paco Boy will not take part in Tuesday's Queen Anne Stakes if the going is firm.

The three major 1000 Guineas winners across Europe are all scheduled to meet in the Coronation Stakes after Ghanaati, Again and Elusive Waves were amongst the 14 entries. Champion jockey Ryan Moore will ride Again.

For the second time at the meeting Godolphin have put Ahmed Ajebi up on their first choice runner, aheda of Frankie Dettori. This time in the Gold Cup where Eastern Anthem is being stepped up to two miles.

Karl Burke is to aim Popmurphy at the Queens Vase as opposed to teh King George V, where he would have faced Changingoftheguard.

Friday 12th June

Oaks runner-up Midday will not be competing in the Ribblesdale. She may be heading for a rematch with Sariska in the Irish Derby on 12th July, although she will have to be supplemented if she is to run.

Thursday 11th June

In something of a surprise announcement Godolphin have announced that Frankie Dettori will be riding second string Alexandros in Tuesday's Queen Anne Stakes. The plum ride on the stable superstar Gladiatorus has been handed to Ahmed Ajtebi.

Godolphing have not ruled out Eastern Anthem appearing at Ascot, despite a disappointing sixth in the Coronation Cup at Epsom. He currently has entries in the Gold Cup and Prince od Wales's Stakes.

Riggins, favourite in some books for Wednesday's Royal Hunt Cup, will not be taking part in the race. He has taken longer than expected to recover from his latest run at Goodwood.

Jockey Johnny Murtagh has said he is "extremely disappointed" after his attempt to overturn a five day ban, imposed at Epsom, failed. the ban means he will miss the last two days of the Royal meeting.

Jimmy Fortune is to replace Jamie Spencer on Delegator in the St James's Palace Stakes. Fortune rode the Guineas runner-up as a juvenile but Spencer has been the regular rider more recently.

Lush Lashes has been entered for Wednesday's Windsor Forest Stakes.

Tartan Bearer, runner up in the 2008 Derby, heads the runners in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes and he is scheduled to take on last years French Derby winner Vision d'Etat.

Wednesday 10th June

Aidan O'Brien has confirmed that Yeats will take his chance in the Ascot Gold Cup, as he attempts to win the race for an unprecedented fourth time. Last years third Coastal Path will, however, by-pass this years contest.

Trainer Mike De Kock's sprinter J J The Jet Plane is on course for the Golden Jubilee Stakes, with the trainer being pleased with his work.

Tuesday 9th June

After all the recent withdrawals, some good news for Ascot as the Dubai World Cup winner Gladiatorur, officially the highest rated horse in training, will compete in the Queen Anne Stakes on the opening day of the meeting.

1000 Guineas winner Ghanaati is set to run in the Coronation Stakes.

Delegator will run in the St James' Palace Stakes but only if the going is good.

Monday 8th June

Wadaat, who took a knock in last Friday's Investec Oaks at Epsom will skip Royal Ascot to give her time to fully recover.

Following an impressive workout at Newmarket over the weekend War Artist is being considered for the Golden Jubilee Stakes.

Another runner who looks destined for the Golden Jubilee is Lesson In Humility, who also holds an entry in the Wokingham, however trainer Karl Burke has indicated the filly may now go for the better class race.

Sans Frontieres, who missed The Derby due to a training setback, has not made a sufficient recovery and will now miss the Royal meeting as well.

Sunday 7th June
Royal Ascot Ticket Booking

Top jockeys Johnny Murtagh and Jamie Spencer will both miss the final two days of the Royal Meeting after picking up bans on the first day of the Epsom Investec Derby meeting.

Harbinger will by-pass Royal Ascot for Glorious Goodwood after missing a weeks training after pulling a muscle.

Conduit is another who will by-pass the Royal meeting, instead he will be aimed at either the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud or the Coral Eclipse.

Tuesday 26th May

Bookmakers have installed Sacred Kingdom as the 5/1 favourite for the Golden Jubilee Stakes following confirmation that connections will pay £45,000 to supplement their runner in the race.

Sacred kingdom is officially rated the world's best sprinter in 2007, and his appearance makes up for the loss of the Hungarian sensation Overdose who is out due to a foot injury.

Australian sprinter Scenic Blast is second favourite.
